How can I get a book/e-book the library does not own?

If the CSUSM University Library does not own a book, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan.

To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. First, double-check to see if we have it available as an ebook by using OneSearch to search for materials. To search only for ebooks, select the filter for "Full-text online".
  2. If we do not already have what you need in our digital collection, you can place an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request in OneSearch (click the “Get It Through Interlibrary Loan” or “Request Access" button) or go straight to the ILL form.

While the University remains in a hybrid environment, we will try to purchase an ebook to provide you with access as soon as possible. If an ebook is not available, we will order a physical copy and mail it to your home.

Please contact the Interlibrary Loan staff for assistance at ill@csusm.edu.
