How do I do an Advanced Search in a database such as EBSCOhost or JSTOR?

If you have tried a basic search using one of the library’s databases and are getting way too many results or results that are not quite what you are looking for, you might want to try an Advanced Search. Advanced search features are easy to use once you know how to use them and they’re helpful in that they can help you refine your results and can save you time by helping you search more efficiently.  The video below walks you through an Advanced Search using an example topic from the Humanities, but the tips and tricks apply for most types of research databases.
