Library FAQ

CSUSM Alumni and CSUSM Alumni Association members may apply for a FREE Library Borrower card and use the library to check out up to 10 general collection books or media for 30 days with one renewal. They may also access the library databases onsite using one of our public computers in either the 2^nd floor Computer Lab or 3^rd floor Hybrid Learning Lab.

Reserving study rooms, checking out Library Reserve materials and equipment held behind the desk, and using resource-sharing services (requesting items through CSU+ or Interlibrary Loan) are unavailable. 

To apply for a library borrower card, bring verification of your alumni membership if available and government-issued photo ID to the Circulation & Reserves desk on the 3rd Floor of Kellogg Library during normal operating hours.
