CSUSM's Special Collections collects, preserves, and makes accessible to researchers unique, rare, and scarce resources related to North County San Diego and Southwestern Riverside County, including its communities and individuals, historical events, culture, places, and intellectual contributions. Our resources include manuscripts, photographs, oral history interviews, ephemera, newspapers, artifacts, dissertations, faculty works, and much more.
Special Collections consists of three subunits:
- Special Collections, which stewards resources related to North San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County's history and cultural heritage;
- Scholarly Communications, which stewards materials related to the intellectual contributions of Cal State San Marcos's students, staff, faculty, and administrators, and assists with copyright and ADA compliance.
- University Archives, which stewards resources related to Cal State San Marcos's history and cultural heritage.
